I’ve just gone for a walk around my local mall and they’ve already strung up all the Christmas decorations and holiday items… in the middle of September! =O

I need a 15 line non-rhyming poem about Christmas day. Basically just what is seen, heard & felt. It can’t be full sentences.
What I have started is:
Christmas
Waking up to the cool crisp air & the anticipation of what awaits me under the Christmas tree

I live in VA Beach, VA and would like to know if anyone knows of any big after Christmas sales. If you need to know the stores I’m interested in, they are: Michael’s, Macy’s, Dillard’s, Discvoer Channel Store, Kmart, Walmart, Victoria’s Secret, TAPS (teachers adn parents store) and sports stores… like Raceway sports, especially football.

some school is trying to ban the holiday, people debate the name of the holiday, trying to remove christmas, hannickah, and halloween from schools.
People debating about religion and holidays in the US.
And the jello debate with religions in the US
Are we basically trying to come up with issues and dilemmas each year?
It’s making the holidays seem less enjoyable.

Work Christmas parties have to be well thought out due to the extensive health and safety regulations and legal requirements. It’s vital that you think about these, otherwise you could run into a number of problems.

I wrote this poem after my father’s death in 2000. Surprisingly, he was born on Christmas day and so I recall him when this time of year comes along. There are two poems here. The first tells of my visits to him and the last days of his life, though he struggled on to live beyond what I thought the best thing for him. I wanted a peacable death for him, with no special actions by doctors to keep him alive.

I am throwing a Christmas party this year with about 15 of my closest friends and I am in need of some ideas to go along with festive martinis, playing Dirty Santa, and serving yummy finger foods. Anyone have any ideas of festive activities to include? I have heard of ornament decorating but don’t know a lot about it. I am up for any suggestions! Thanks!

You may think of holiday cards as being Christmas or Seasons Greetings cards, but really there are many more holiday cards than this one holiday.  There are holiday cards for Christmas, Hanukah, Easter (or Resurrection Day), Thanksgiving, Halloween, Columbus Day, President’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Independence Day, New Years, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparents Day, and Administrative Assistants Day.  As you can see, there are many holidays we celebrate, and each of them have their own holiday cards.

Tick tock. Tick tock. Do you hear that? That’s the sound of the clock slowly ticking down to Christmas-and the vacation you’ve been counting down toward for months! It’s almost time. Time to shut down that office computer, put away your tools and spend a week or two basking in the warmth of family and friends! Before you kick back with that pumpkin pie, though, make sure you pick up the phone and wish your auto insurance agent a Merry Christmas.
